Death of Irony
The death of irony. How can anything be ironic anymore? "Ironic," with it's connotations of bemusement; it's conginial recognition of life's way of interjecting a bit of objective reality into our phenominological narrative. It is no more. Now we are surrounded: On the one side by religious extremists who want to kill us, and on the other by the bed-wetting cowards who are terrified that what they believe in isn't up to the task set before us.
